Our 5 hour cruise to Balos depart daily from the port of Kissamos. The ship departs everyday from the port of Kissamos for Balos lagoon. STEP 1:  Buy fast and smoothly your Ticket here! Departure 10.30 - Back at port 15:40 Departure 13.15 - Back at port 18:15 STEP 2 : Show your voucher and get your Boardingpass at the office CRETAN DAILY CRUISES wich is in Kissamos harbour: Port of Kissamos   Please be at port at leats  40 minutes prior departure! STEP 3:  Go on board the cruise and enjoy your day! Attention: The timetable changes according the season.  GOOD TO KNOW The facilities on the ferry accepts only credit cards, no cash! There are plenty of parking  The Municipality of Kissamos charges €1 from each ticket (paid in cash), as an administrative fee for passengers over 13 years old. In Gramvousa and Balos, you may return to the ship at any time, but make sure you are back at least 10 minutes before departure.  Details of your trip The ferry leaves from the port of Kissamos and sails in the bay for an hour, after a while you will see a large cave known to be an ancient shipyard. At the end of the bay you will see an impressive geological phenomenon, over time Crete’s west side is rising and the eastern side is sinking. This is happening because of the movement of the African tectonic plate under the Eurasian plate. You can see the ancient coastline along the rocky shore.The self-service bar stays open throughout the whole cruise, offering light meals, salads, soft drinks, coffee, ice creams and more.   Balos Lagoon    Balos is mentioned as one of the best beaches in Europe. A beautiful exotic beach with warm turquoise water. It’s a true beauty! The ferry will stay at the Balos beach 3 hours. You may also stay in the ferry and enjoy sunbathing if you wish. There is a self-catering restaurant in the ferry you can buy food or beverages at any time.

A wonderful boat cruise with all the comforts on board.  Details of your trip Total cost of the excursion: Adults 54€ The total price for an adult is 54€. An adult will pay 28€ upon booking and the remaining amount 26€ will be paid in cash at bus to the guide. Children 32.50€ The total price for a child age 3-11,99 yrs is 33€. A child will pay 20€ upon booking and the remaining amount 13€ will be paid in cash at bus to the guide. Children under 3 yrs are free of charge.   Your day starts with being picked up from your hotel or at one of the specific pick up points. On the bus the guide is going to give you all the necessary information about the cruise. The ferry is waiting for you when you arrive at the port of Kissamos. There is a self-service point on board where you can buy meals, snacks and drinks. You can freely choose your seat either on the outside deck or inside. From the port, it is less than an hour's sea journey to Balos lagoon. You have possibility to swim in the crystal clear waters and enjoy sunbathing at the beach or on board. The break at Balos beach is 2,5 hours. It is only 20 minutes from Balos to the island of Gramvousa. There will be 1 hour and 45 minutes break on the island where you can stay ashore for a swim, hike up to the Venetian fortress of Gramvousa or stay on the ferry. From the island of Gramvousa, there is a direct return to the port of Kissamos-Kastelli. During the boat trip, it's a great opportunity to admire the scenery from the sea when the sun is already behind you. The ferry is arriving at 17:45 to the port and the return time in Chania is approximately by 19:00. The facilities on ferry accepts only credit cards, no cash! Notice! To see the Gramvousa fortress you need to walk uphill a couple of hundred of meters to reach the top of the island.

The route will go by Topolia and Elos villages in both ways. Book now!  DETAILS OF YOUR TRIP You will be picked up by the bus at your pick up point. The drive will go through Western Crete and the village of Topolia where we will have the a 30 minute stop for refreshments/breakfast or a visit in a small stalactite cave called Agia Sofia. We will reach Elafonisi about 11:15 and we will stay there about 3,5 to 4 hours. It is a short walk of about 15 minutes from the bus down to the beach. You will have a plenty of time to walk through the shallow water to discover the beautiful area of Elafonisi, to sunbathe and to swim in the crystal clear water. A fantastic place which often is called as "The Cretan Maldives”. As we return with the bus, there will be a stop in a local village for late lunch for approx. one hour. The guiding in the tour is in English.
