OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES - 1/2 DAY.
We start with our e-bikes directly from Gerani. After a short introduction into the handling of the ebikes and a test-round we ride on small lanes along the coast with views of the Rodopos Peninsular and the island of Theodorou. An almost effortless rise brings us into the small villages and their vineyards.

At the little white chapel of Agios Petros and Pavlos we enjoy the view of the imposing White Mountains, where the peaks rise to almost 2.500 m. Cycling through orange, wine and olive hills, passing through cool cypress groves we reach Ano Vouves, a 'must-do' for all lovers of Crete. The giant olive tree is a true monument for thousands of years of cultivation. A small museum shows us how olives are raised, harvested and used throughout the millenia.
Our coffee break will find us on the village square of Vouves. After a short uphill passage we reach one of the highlights of our e-bike tour. Riding along a ridge with almost 360 degree views of the farm & vineyard country and its rolling hills we eventually reach the noble setting of the Karavitakis winery. We learn about the very special and unique grapes and wines of Crete and their history- and of course we get a chance to sample a glass or two (optional). The route back to our starting point in Gerani slopes easily downhill with stunning views of the sparkling sea and silvery green hills.
