The Hillside Home, with its magnificent panoramic view of the gulf of Chania and the Aegean Sea, is situated at the top of the cliff in the picturesque old village of Platanias.
The Hillside Home
The house is owned by Mathioulakis family who owns the traditional bakery of the village and has been passed down from generation to generation. It consists of a large fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area, bathroom with a shower cabin, a spare room that can be used as a bedroom and can accommodate up to 2-3 persons and a spacious balcony where you can enjoy the sunrise as well as the sunset.
Every morning the family will bring you a basket full of freshly baked products.
Platanias, the very famous, popular and cosmopolitan village, is located 11 km west of Chania and 18 km west from Chania airport. A few steps besides the house there are many of the old village restaurants and further down the hill, you can easily explore more of Platanias fine restaurants, shops and of course the sandy beach. Parking is available close to the house.
